Anna Canteens are now Rajanna Canteens:- Any political party prefers to change the names of the welfare schemes after they take charge and lead to power. TDP and its Supremo Chandra Babu Naidu introduced Anna Canteens which fed the poor as the meal was served for Rs 5. The welfare scheme was lauded by many as quality food was served for such a less price. Soon, the count doubled in the state. Now after a disastrous defeat and YSRCP taking charge, Anna canteens found new names and shape. They are now renamed as Rajanna Canteens.

YS Jagan decided to continue Anna Canteens on the name of his father Late YS Rajasekhar Reddy and renamed the canteens as Rajanna Canteens. All the 12 canteens in Kurnool district are first renamed and renovated. A close source to the government clarified that all the Anna Canteens across the state will soon be renamed as Rajanna Canteens. They revealed that quality breakfast, lunch and dinner will be served with the utmost quality for just Rs 5.
