Six Hyderabad Pubs Seized for Violating the Norms:- The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) officials seized six pubs located in the posh localities of the city for violating the rules and regulations. All of them happened to be the popular hangout spots for youth and are located in Jubilee Hills region. GHMC Additional Commissioner Musharraf Ali Faruqui said that the six pubs; Farzi Cafe, Juri Cafe and Bar, La Vantage Cafe Bar, Zehn on 10, TOT and Absorb have been seized for having illegal structures, unauthorized constructions.

Some of them had no parking spaces and some had invalid licenses. The municipal body officials have been conducting drives to inspect the pubs in Hyderabad. Some other pubs have been served notices and are asked to get them updated as per the norms. The GHMC is conducting audits in three phases. All the pubs, bars and restaurants will be checked in this phase. The hospitals would be checked in the second phase and schools will be checked in the third phase. Before this the GHMC officials removed all the illegal hoardings in the city last month.
