TTD to Cut Down the Budget for Venkateswara Temple in Amaravati:- The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) earlier announced the construction of Sri Venkateswara swamy temple in the new capital Amaravati. On Friday, TTD announced that they would reduce the budget allocation for the construction of the temple in AP's new capital from Rs 150 crores to Rs 36 crores. TTD Chairman YV Subba Reddy spoke to the media and he clarified that the budget was cut to reduce the financial burden on TTD. During TDP's regime, TTD Board approved parks, marriage halls and other amenities.

The current government feels that they are a burden and are not necessary. The project work already started in Amaravati clarified TTD Chairman YV Subba Reddy. The construction is taking place in Sri Venkateswara Divyakshetram at Venkatapalem village in Amaravati. The current board felt that the budget is huge and need a cut down. YV Subba Reddy said that the new board reviewed the budget and decided to cut down. He said that there would be no compromise on the construction of the temple. He also said that TTD will not spend any funds for promoting tourism in the state.
