Lalitha Jewellery Robbery: Prime Accused Surrenders:- The Lalitha Jewellery robbery that took place in Trichy created a sensation across the country. The prime accused Suresh today surrendered in the Tiruvannamalai court. Suresh had traces of criminal record in the past and him along with his friend Murugan stole the jewellery. The visuals of the CCTV have been presented out after the robbery. Trichy Commissioner K Amalraj confirmed that Suresh surrendered and they took him into custody. The cops are in plans to take him into judicial custody and investigate the case.
K Amalraj said that 4.8 kg of jewellery was recovered from Suresh. The total jewellery stolen was worth Rs 12.3 crores and is almost 28 kgs of gold. The family members of Suresh were investigated already after which Suresh decided to surrender before the court. On October 2nd, two masked men entered Lalitha Jewellery showroom. On October 3rd, Suresh and Manikandan were speeding on a bike at Vilamal Junction and cops chased. While Suresh was on a run, Manikandan was caught. Suresh’s mother and Murugan’s elder sister was also remanded with 450 gm of jewellery.
