Amaravati Farmers to Intesify Capital Protests:- A bunch of farmers from 29 villages in and around Amaravati region donated their lands for the construction of the capital during TDP's regime. The new government of Andhra Pradesh announced three capitals for Andhra Pradesh which left the farmers in deep shock. The farmers from the region started protesting from the past 15 days opposing YS Jagan's move. The government of AP is not much bothered about the protests and the leaders maintained silence on the issue. National media too started covering the news from the past couple of days.

The agitators started writing postcards to the President along with the Prime Minister and AP High Court Chief Justice to allow them for mercy killing. With farmers ready to sacrifice their lives for the capital, the protest intensified and there are people across the state supporting their move. TDP Chief Chandra Babu Naidu came in to support the farmers on New Year's eve. Pawan Kalyan too met the farmers and protested against the government for ignoring the farmers and the capital.
