The committee also said that there is much water pollution in the region and constructing government buildings near to the beach would not be a good idea. The GS Rao committee also said that there is no much land available for the construction of capital in Vizag.
The coastal region too is not much safe as the beach is heading towards the city. The port region is badly polluted because of the oil. Vizag is also not a secured place as it is the place for Navy and submarines. The city is awaiting for several new development plans and the land is needed for various industries to be set up.
