Nashik Accident Death Toll Reaches 26

Nashik Accident Death Toll Reaches 26:- A speeding state transport bus collided with an auto-rickshaw in Nashik and both the vehicles fell into the roadside well. The death toll in this tragic accident reached 26. Over 36 people are in hospital and they sustained serious injuries. The accident took place last evening at Meshi Phata on the Malegaon-Deola road in Maharashtra which is 200km from Mumbai. The speeding bus which was packed rammed into an auto-rickshaw. Most of the passengers got injured after the bus fell into the well.

The bus dragged the auto-rickshaw along with it after the incident. The rescue operations have been called off. The bus was carrying 45 passengers when the incident took place. Huge cranes are brought to lift both the vehicles from the well. The locals initially started the rescue operations and they pulled some of the injured passengers. The rear windshield of the bus was broken to bring out the passengers from the bus. The Maharashtra government ordered a probe in the incident.
