Amaravati Farmers Starts Jaladeeksha:- With the government of Andhra Pradesh shifting the capital of the state to Vizag, the farmers from 29 villages of Amaravati are protesting from the past two and half months. The protests reached 75th day on Sunday and the farmers staged in the Krishna river and named it Jaladeeksha. They are against the shifting of executive capital from Amaravati to Vizag. Huge number of farmers gathered on Sunday in Undavalli village and they staged peaceful protests.

Amaravati JAC leaders started a cycle rally from Guntur to Thullur and hundreds of people joined the rally. Covering all the villages, the people reached Thullur. Hundreds of women too gathered from 29 villages to support the protests. The government of Andhra Pradesh is not much bothered about the protests and it recently decided to distribute the lands of Amaravati to the poor people. The arrangements for the same are being made.
