Coronavirus Cases In India Cross 10,000 Mark:- Coronavirus is slowly impacting the country and the number of positive cases in India had a sharp rise. The total number of positive cases of coronavirus crossed 10,000 mark in India and the death toll reached 339. As many as 10,363 people are infected with the virus till today as per the reports from the Union Health Ministry. The number of active cases in the country stood at 8988 and 1035 people got discharged after they are cured with coronavirus. 72 foreign nationals got cured from the deadly virus. 15 people passed away in the country since Monday evening. 11 of them died in Maharashtra.

Maharashtra is on the top of the list with 160 deaths and Madhya Pradesh is in second with 43 deaths. Gujarat registered 26 deaths and Telangana has 16 deaths. Punjab and Tamil Nadu registered 11 deaths each. Maharashtra is on the top of the list with 2334 positive cases and Delhi is in second place with 1510 cases. Tamil Nadu has 1173 cases. India witnessed a huge rise in the number of cases in the past one week. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi already announced the extension of lockdown till May 3rd. The Union Cabinet will meet tomorrow evening to discuss about the measures to be taken in the country in the coming weeks to battle coronavirus.
