Congress Announces A Consultative Group For Coronavirus:- Congress President Sonia Gandhi today announced a consultative group on coronavirus outbreak and the group is headed by former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh. The consultative group also discusses about the views of Congress on several issues. The eleven-member group also comprises of Rahul Gandhi along with Congress chief spokesperson Randeep Singh Surjewala, general secretary in-charge organisation KC Venugopal. Former Union Ministers Jairam Ramesh, P Chidambaram and Manish Tewari too are present in the group. A press release has been issued which said that the group will meet virtually on a daily basis to discuss about all the current issues.

Praveen Chakravarty, Gaurav Vallabh, Supriya Shrinate and Rohan Gupta are the other members of the consultative group. The party high command today interacted with the party leaders through a video conference after which the press release was announced. Congress has been forcing the government to increase the testing across the country. They also asked the Centre to provide Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) to all the health workers including the doctors and the nurses. Congress wanted the government to support the farmers along with the migrant labours who are struggling during this lockdown period. Sonia Gandhi penned six letters to Prime Minister Narendra Modi about the coronavirus after its outbreak.
