LG Polymers In Vizag Seized After High Court Orders:- The Vizag police seized the premises of LG Polymers plant in RR Venkatapuram that is located in Vizag as per the orders from the Andhra Pradesh High Court. The court Friday issued orders to seize the premises and said that the directors of the company should not leave the country without permission from the court. 12 people passed away after the leak of styrene gas from LG Polymers. The main gate of LG Polymers has been closed and the number of cops have been posted to guard the premises. Only five people are allowed to maintain the temperature of the styrene tank.

The tragedy took place on May 7th and hundreds of people got hospitalized. All the animals and plants surrounded by LG Polymers have been badly impacted because of the gas leak. The primary investigation says that LG Polymers is operating without any valid clearance from the Centre of Environmental Clearance. The court also questioned about the alarm system which did not respond when the incident took place. A five-member committee is investigating the incident and a detailed report would be submitted soon. The AP Government announced a compensation of Rs 1 crore for the families of the deceased.
