Air India's Delhi-Moscow Flight Called Back:- The Air India plane which is flying from Delhi to Moscow was returned from the midway when the pilot was found COVID-19 positive. The ground team realized that the Airbus A320NEO pilot was a coronavirus patient only when the plane was taken off.
A senior official of Air India quoted as “When the A320 plane, which did not have any passengers as it was heading to Moscow to bring back stranded Indians under Vande Bharat Mission, had reached Uzbekistan’s airspace, our team on ground realized that one of the pilots had tested Covid-19 positive.”
And he also stated, “The flight was immediately asked to return. It came back to Delhi at around 12.30 pm on Saturday.”
Every day, at least 200 coronavirus tests are conducted by Air India in Delhi to all its crew which they ahead to flights that they operate. All Pilots before they allow to fly are tested for coronavirus.
Officials said that the crew of the Airbus A-320 Neo (VT-EXR) flight were all has been quarantined. To bring back the stranded Indians, another flight would be sent to Moscow.
