High Court Orders Telangana Government About Transparency In Covid-19 Cases

High Court Orders Telangana Government About Transparency In Covid-19 Cases:- The High Court of Telangana asked the state government to publish the data about the coronavirus cases along with the total number of tests done and the number of infected with the virus. The High Court asked the information to be published on the front pages of all the leading newspapers and upload the data across the leading web portals to make the citizens know what is happening. The court said that the citizens should be well aware of the data and the spread of coronavirus. The court wanted the number of samples to be collected, tested, positive cases and the number of contacts traced in Telangana.

The High Court also wanted the government to present the list of hospitals that are treating coronavirus. The High Court reminded that the state government did not disclose the information and follow the orders of the High Court for the months of April and May. The court threatened to initiate contempt proceedings against the Principal Secretary, Medical and Health departments of Telangana. A PIL was filed by Amrita Aryendra from Hyderabad. The officials of the health department suggested Telangana Chief Minister KCR to appeal in the Supreme Court against the order of High Court to conduct coronavirus tests for all the bodies who died in Telangana.
