Hyderabad Mayor Named In Land Scam Worth Rs 100 Cr:- Hyderabad Mayor Bonthu Rammohan is allegedly involved in a land scam worth Rs 100 crores as per the report from the leading news daily Deccan Chronicle. The incident took place after the owners approached the Narsingi police station when Rammohan's aides forcibly evicted the owners from the two acres of land. A first information report (457/2020) has been registered at the Narsingi police station on June 9th. Four people encroached their plots and damaged the CCTVs, threatened the guards complained Westend Meadows layout plot owners. It is after that they placed boards claiming themselves as the owners of the lands.
As per the investigation B Sridevi, wife of mayor B Rammohan entered into an MoU over the land to invest for the development. After filing cases and the cases pending in the court, it is heard the aides of Rammohan tried to occupy the land. Some of them even approached KTR on this issue. It is heard that the plan started on June 22nd, 2018. Several owners regularized their plots under the Layout Regularisation Scheme. When contacted, Bonthu Rammohan said that it was an unauthorized layout in Narsingi. He said that there is no one in possession of the land right now.
