Hyderabad Doctors Call Off Strike In Gandhi Hospital:- The junior doctors who are assisting the Coronavirus patients in Gandhi Hospital, Hyderabad went on strike for two days. They finally decided to join back the duties after Telangana Junior Doctors Association (T-JUDA) members called off the strike this morning. The doctors gave a deadline of 15 days fo the Telangana government to keep up their promises. The strike started on Tuesday evening after one of the junior doctors was assaulted at the COVID Acute Medical Care Unit (AMCU).

The incident took place after a patient's attendants attacked the doctor after the patient passed away. The two attendants who attacked the junior doctor were taken into custody and were sent for judicial remand soon after the doctors staged their protest. Feeling the pressure, the doctors protested demanding distribution of the patients and the treatment among the other hospitals that are run by the state government. The doctors explained about the caseload they receive on a regular basis.

Telangana Health Minister Etela Rajendar met the doctors who are on protests. The doctors set a deadline of 15 days and considering the health of the patients, the junior doctors called off the strike. All the demands are accepted by the Health Minister. Telangana government also agreed to deploy the Special Protection Force (SPF) personnel in all the government medical hospitals and colleges.
