Multiple Raids Carried Out In Thiruvananthapuram In Gold Smuggling Case:- The gold smuggling case in Kerala is shaking the state and the government. The investigation agencies conducted multiple raids in Thiruvananthapuram in relation to the case. The Income Tax officials conducted raids in Kerala State IT Infrastructure Limited (KSITIL) where the main accused Swapna Suresh worked. The raids took place for one hour. The customs officials also carried out raids in the residence of the new secretariat M Sivasankar. Swapna Suresh revealed that she met him in his flat. The Customs officials are collecting all the evidence currently.

The Special Court of NIA in Kochi sent Swapna Suresh to NIA custody for eight days and it ends on July 21st about the gold smuggling. The Customs officials also questioned M Sivasankar for nine hours and he worked as the Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister. 30 kgs gold that is worth Rs 14.82 crores got smuggled through a consignment that was busted out by the Customs officials of Thiruvananthapuram. NIA officials registered an FIR and the investigation has been on from some time. Three out of the four accused have been arrested.
