AP High Court Slams AP Government Once Again In Ramesh Kumar Case:- Andhra Pradesh State Election Commissioner Ramesh Kumar was quite unhappy with the way he was removed from his position after which he took a legal battle against the government of Andhra Pradesh. The Supreme Court asked the government of Andhra Pradesh to follow the decision taken by the High Court of Andhra Pradesh and reappoint Ramesh Kumar as the State Election Commissioner of Andhra Pradesh. With the government not responding to the decision, Ramesh Kumar approached the AP High Court once again. The High Court slammed the AP government for not implementing the decision taken by the High Court.

The court asked Ramesh Kumar to submit a plea to the government of Andhra Pradesh asking him to implement the decision taken by the AP High Court. The High Court said that the Governor can appoint the State Election Commissioner as per the directions of the court. Ramesh Kumar's lawyer said that Ramesh Kumar already sought the appointment of the Governor. The High Court asked the state government to file a counter soon. The next hearing about the case has been pushed to Friday. AP government is yet to respond about the decision made by the High Court. AP Government removed Ramesh Kumar as the State Election Commissioner after he postponed the local body elections in the state due to the coronavirus pandemic.
