ED Case: Ravi Prakash Granted Anticipatory Bail:- Former Chief Executive Officer of tv9, Ravi Prakash was granted an anticipatory bail from the Telangana High Court today in relation to a case filed by the Enforcement Directorate. The Telangana High Court said that the files are too many on Ravi Prakash on a single issue and hence the court granted anticipatory bail to Ravi Prakash. The court asked the Enforcement Directorate officials to continue with the interrogation and submit the report before arresting him. A file has been registered under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) about misusing the funds of tv9.

The management of Associated Broadcasting Company Limited filed a case against Ravi Prakash in 2019 October about withdrawing Rs 18 crores on the name of a bonus. Ravi Prakash was arrested and granted bail in the case. The ED filed several cases against Ravi Prakash and the investigation is going on. Ravi Prakash has been asked not to leave the country without informing the court. Ravi Prakash submitted his resignation as CEO of tv9 last year and he has been in plans to float his own news channel. There are also speculations that Ravi Prakash may join national media but it never happened.
