TTD's Crucial Meeting After Tirumala Turns Coronavirus Hotspot:- The Tirumala Sri Lord Venkateswara temple was open for public visit last month. Leave about the pilgrims and the devotees, the officials of the TTD along with the priests got badly infected with the coronavirus. Over a 100 TTD officials along with 18 priests have been tested positive recently and the officials converted the Tirumala hill into red zone. The opposition parties slammed the government to shut the doors of the temple in this coronavirus pandemic season. Pedda Jeeyar Swamy Sri Satagopa Ramanuja Pedda Jeeyangar is tested positive with coronavirus today and he is getting treated in Sri Venkateswara Institute of Medical Sciences in Tirupathi.
The TTD officials chaired a high profile meeting to discuss about the decision to close the temple for a few weeks after the spread of coronavirus is high. With 18 priests infected with coronavirus and a lot of cases around, the officials may suspend the darshan for public and devotees for a few days. The decision will be taken today after the meeting and an announcement about the same would be made. Though the spread of coronavirus is huge, the officials of TTD did not suspend the darshan as thousands of devotees already arranged darshan and transport arrangements. Pedda Jeeyangar's health deteriorated after which the TTD officials shifted him to Apollo Hospitals in Chennai.
