40,425 New Coronavirus Cases Reported In The Country:- India witnessed the highest single-day spike of coronavirus cases in the country. A total number of 40,425 cases of coronavirus are reported in the country on Sunday out of the 1,40,47,908 samples tested as per the reports from the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR). The total number of coronavirus cases in the country stands at 11,18,043 and there are 3,90,459 active cases. 7,00,087 people got cured and recovered from coronavirus till date. and 27,497 people passed away due to coronavirus. Maharashtra minister Aslam Shaikh is tested positive with coronavirus. Maharashtra continues to remain on the top of the list among of the most impacted states in India.

All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) to start human trials of Covaxin from today. A total number of 681 people passed away yesterday in India due to coronavirus. Pune based biotechnology firm Gennova Biopharmaceuticals is expecting to start human trials from October this year. The firm says that they are in plans to launch the vaccine from March next year. The cases in Delhi are decreasing rapidly and the national capital reported 1211 cases on Sunday. Several districts and towns across the country are under lockdown after the spread is huge. Some of the states even extended lockdown till the end of this month.
