Man Arrested For Duping 200 People As A Plasma Donor:- Plasma donors are in huge demand after the arrival of coronavirus. A 25-year-old man from Andhra Pradesh cheated over 200 people presenting himself as a plasma donor. He is said to have collected transport charges from many citing that he would donate plasma. The Task Force cops arrested Sandeep Reddy duped 200 people by collecting the amount from Rs 300 to Rs 5000. Additional DCP of Task Force, G Chakravarthy said that Sandeep took this as an opportunity in this coronavirus season and started making money by cheating people who are looking for plasma donors.

Sandeep Reddy started browsing social media platforms and news portals through which he zeroed in people. He started contacting them after he pretended to be a recovered patient. Sandeep requested them to send money for transportation in a polite manner and once the money is transferred, Sandeep would go missing. He also cheated some of them after he promised to arrange Tocilizumab 400 mg drug which is used to treat coronavirus. Sandeep was booked under the sections of IPC 406, 420 and 66 of IT Act. Sandeep Reddy hails from Rajam, Srikakulam district and he was handed over to the Panjagutta cops. Sandeep worked as a hardware engineer and lost his job after which he started cheating people with the arrival of coronavirus pandemic.
