Justice Arun Mishra heading the three-judge bench said that life cannot be stopped and we have to move with all the safeguards. Justice Arun Mishra said that it is not a right decision to waste one complete year of the students.
"COVID-19 may continue for one more year and will you wait for one more year for the students? It is not only a loss for the students, but it is also a loss for the whole country" said Justice Arun Mishra. Eleven students filed petitions and they wanted the examinations to be conducted only after normalcy returns. These students also wanted to increase the number of examination centres. The Supreme Court asked the respective authorities to conduct the examinations following all the social distancing guidelines.
