Schools and Colleges in India Reopen Partially Today:- The schools, colleges and other educational institutions across the country are shut from March ever since the coronavirus pandemic attacked the nation. The Centre as a part of Unlock 4.0 and it issued Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to reopen the schools and colleges for students of classes 9th to 12th. After a gap of six months, several schools and colleges are opened in the country. The students have been asked to attend the classes along with a declaration from their parents. After India emerged as one of the most impacted countries because of coronavirus, the parents across the country are worried about the pandemic and showed no interest to send their children to schools and colleges.
Hence, there was a delay in the reopening of schools and colleges. All the government-run schools and colleges are reopened from today. Some of the state governments pushed the reopening of schools and colleges. States like Delhi, Gujarat, Goa, Kerala, Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh are not allowing the classes to commence from today while the other states of the country granted permissions for the reopening of the schools. All the schools outside containment zones can be reopened from today told the Union Health Ministry. 50% of the teachers would be present in the schools and the students are asked to attend on a voluntary basis. The social distancing rules should be strictly followed told the Union Health Ministry. Every student should maintain social distancing and should use face masks, sanitizers.
