SP Balasubrahmanyam was moved to ICU on August 13th after his health condition declined. SP Balasubrahmanyam recovered well and was about to discharge soon after which his health condition got deteriorated again. Dr Deepak Subramanian, a laparoscopic and bariatric surgeon penned a personal note about his experience of treating the legendary singer before he passed away on September 25th at 1:04 PM.

Dr Deepak Subramanian said that he was a huge fan of the singer and his work. "My day started with a quick team huddle and discuss about the happenings. I spent 4-5 hours a day complete with a person who is close to my heart. I was quite worried when he was shifted to ICU. He always asked us to do whatever is necessary. He treated all the state with immense respect. After he gained consciousness, he started writing in the ICU. He always started the note with "Due to respect to you all". He was always cooperative and easy going person. We were happy to see his condition improving slowly. The sudden U Turn in his health condition took place soon. 52 days with SPB will remain as one of the most treasured memories of my life. SPB is a fighter till the end. He is the most humble person I have ever seen" posted the doctor.
