AP Government in Plans to make Vizag a Casino Hub:- Goa happens to be quite famous for casinos and gambling. The government of Andhra Pradesh is now in plans to mint money through tourism by developing Vizag into a tourism hub. The Andhra Pradesh government is already holding talks with the Centre to grant permissions for floating casinos across the coastal region of Vizag. The move is expected to generate enough revenue for the government of Andhra Pradesh which has been struggling in crisis. Several senior leaders from the leading YSRCP are in talks with the Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy for the same.

Vizag is considered as the executive capital of Andhra Pradesh and the process is currently kept on hold. With the capital shifting and the coastal city turning a casino hub will turn up as a huge boost for Vizag. The opposition parties already took a dig against the move but the government has not made any official statement about the same. BJP, TDP and Janasena are opposing the move of the AP government but the government is yet to issue an official statement about the casinos in Vizag.
