Piyush Goyal Assigned the Portfolios of Ram Vilas Paswan:- Union minister and senior politician Ram Vilas Paswan passed away yesterday evening who is holding the portfolios of Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution. With the sudden demise of Ram Vilas Paswan, Union Minister Piyush Goyal has been assigned the additional responsibilities and portfolios of Paswan. Piyush Goyal is the Minister of Railways and Minister of Commerce and Industry. Piyush Goyal accepted the request and will take care of the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution before it is assigned to another leader soon by Narendra Modi.

Ram Vilas Paswan, the 74-yea-old Dalit leader was hospitalized a couple of weeks ago and he is suffering from heart, kidney-related issues in All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi. Ram Vilas Paswan is eight times Lok Sabha MP from Hajipur and is currently serving as Rajya Sabha MP. The entire political fraternity paid their condolences for the sudden demise of Ram Vilas Paswan. His mortal remains are shifted to Bihar and his last rites will be held in Patna tomorrow with state honors. Ram Vilas Paswan was one of the senior-most politicians who served various ministries in his political career spanning over four decades.
