YSRCP to Boycott State Election Commissioner's Meet

YSRCP to Boycott State Election Commissioner's Meet:- The YSRCP Government and the State Election Commissioner Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar has been at loggerheads about the local body polls. A meeting is scheduled to take place today in Amaravati to discuss about the possibility of local body polls. All the parties are invited to the meeting in advance. The ruling YSRCP government decided to boycott the meeting that is conducted by Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar. YSRCP leader and Sattenapalli legislator Ambati Rambabu announced the decision taken by the party. The State Election Commission is in plans to meet all the parties and collect the feedback about the local body polls considering the coronavirus pandemic. The polls are already pushed this year because of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

All the parties in the state are asked to attend the meeting at 10:30 AM today and it was conducted in the absence of the YSRCP leaders. Ambati Rambabu said that the Supreme Court said that the Election Commission should take the ruling government's decision before proceeding further but the State Election Commission ignored it completely. Ramesh Kumar did not consult the Chief Secretary about the possibility of conducting the local body polls said Ambati Rambabu. He said that this is a part of Nimmagadda and Chandra Babu politics. The cases spike of coronavirus is slowing down in Andhra Pradesh after a huge wave. AP is the second most impacted state in the country because of the coronavirus pandemic.
