AP Government Cuts Down Liquor Prices:- The government of Andhra Pradesh implemented several formulas to ban the liquor in the state. The prices have been hiked too much after which the smuggling of liquor from the neighboring states got increased. The government tried their best but this turned out to be a huge dent for the revenue. The government of Andhra Pradesh reduced the prices of medium and premium brands of liquor in the state. There is no revision of prices of ordinary and cheap liquor along with beer in the state. The revised prices will be applicable from tomorrow as per the government order. All the prices of medium and premium brands of liquor between the range of Rs 200 and Rs 1010 are reduced from Rs 50 to Rs 1350.

The government of Andhra Pradesh increased the prices couple of months ago. After collecting the feedback from the Special Enforcement Bureau (SEB) through a report, the government of Andhra Pradesh reduced the prices of cheap liquor and beer on September 3rd. The prices of premium and medium brands are now reduced. Due to the high price difference, huge amount of liquor got smuggled from Telangana and other neighboring states. This caused a huge revenue loss for the state. 1211 cases of liquor smuggling are registered in Andhra Pradesh between September 15th and October 15th. A GO was issued by Rajat Bhargava, Special Chief Secretary of Revenue after a detailed report submitted by SEB.
