Bharat Biotech's COVAXIN could be Launched in February 2021:- As per the update coming out, the coronavirus vaccine that is backed by the government of India may be launched in February 2021. This is sure months earlier than expected. Bharat Biotech, a private company is developing COVAXIN with the government-run Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) for some time. The last stage of trials will begin this month and the studies, results are completely positive and effective told a senior scientist. It was earlier predicted that the vaccination would have its launch during the second quarter of 2021. Rajinikant, a senior scientist said that the vaccine showed good efficacy. He said that the vaccine is expected to be out in February 2021.

If this is true, COVAXIN would be the first vaccine to be launched in the country for coronavirus. Rajinikant said that the Union Health Ministry will take a call on the distribution of the doses of vaccine as per the third phase of trials. He said that the vaccine is safe for now and the final decision can be taken only after the third phase of the trials are completed. Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan said that the government is open to consider granting an emergency authorization for a vaccine for coronavirus for elderly people and others who are at high risk. Several vaccines across the globe are in the final stages of human trials across the globe.
