AP Government Bans Sale of Firecrackers for Diwali:- The coronavirus wave of cases is slowly calming down in the country but experts warned of a second wave considering the festival season and the approaching winter season. Several state governments banned the usage of firecrackers for this Diwali which is widely celebrated across the country. The National Green Tribunal wanted all the states to ban the usage of firecrackers for this year. The government of Andhra Pradesh took a decision to suspend the sale of crackers in the state for Diwali this year which falls on Saturday. Several experts warned that there is a risk of an increase in the number of coronavirus cases along with pollution.

States like New Delhi, West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh, Assam, Karnataka, Punjab and Sikkim banned firecrackers already. The Tahsildars of Andhra Pradesh are instructed about the same and strict punishment would be given to those who will be spotted with firecrackers in the state. All the permissions given for the sale of crackers are canceled from today. The people across Andhra Pradesh will restrict themselves to conduct puja and light diyas at their homes for Diwali 2020. Andhra Pradesh is one of the most affected states of the country due to coronavirus and the wave of cases is slowly coming down.
