Go Karting Centre in Vizag for Flouting the Norms:- The government of Andhra Pradesh has been taking on illegal constructions in the state. The government went ahead and demolished a part of the GITAM University campus in Vizag couple of months ago. A Go Karting centre in Vizag has been demolished today in Vizag for violating the norms as per the reports from the Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation (GVMC) officials. The demolition process took place this morning and tight security has been imposed across the premises. All the concerned officials carried out the process of demolition. The Go Karting centre is located at Hub for Youth in Mangamaripeta and it belongs to Kasi Vishwanath, a TDP leader and a close associate of Ganta Srinivas Rao, ex-minister from TDP.

The Go Karting centre was constructed across four acres violating the norms of the Coastal Regulation Zone (CRZ). The Town Planning officials of GVMC kept a close focus on all the illegal constructions and those structures that flouted the norms. The compound wall along with a toilet from the residence of TDP leader Sabbam Hari are demolished in October. In November, the Visakhapatnam Metropolitan Region Development Authority (VMRDA) raided on Fusion Foods and vacated the restaurant which is located near Gurajada Kalakshetram at Siripuram. The lease of the property was completed after which the officials conducted raids and vacated the place.
