37,975 New Coronavirus Cases Reported In India:- The wave of coronavirus cases in India came down in the past two weeks and the new cases reported are between 30,000 and 40,000 in the country. A total number of 37,975 new cases of coronavirus are reported in India in the past 24 hours and the total tally of cases reached 91,77,841. 480 people passed away in the country yesterday and the death toll in the country now stands at 1,34,218. The number of active cases in the country are said to be 4,38,667 and the total number of recoveries are 86,04,955. The national recovery rate stands at 93.76 percent and the fatality rate stands at 1.46 percent.

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hold a meeting today with the Chief Ministers of all the states along with the top government officials about the vaccine for coronavirus. The Oxford University yesterday announced that the internal trial data for the third phase of trials for AstraZeneca showed that the vaccine is 70.4 percent effective. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal ordered for an immediate procurement of 1200 BiPAP machines for the ICU beds. The number of cases saw a rise in the national capital and experts warned of a second wave considering the winter season. Narendra Modi hints that over 1 crore health workers would get the first dose of vaccination in the country.
