India Bans All Flights From The United Kingdom:- Several experts warned of a second wave of coronavirus in the country in between January and February. Countries like the USA and the UK are badly impacted due to the second wave. The Indian government is extra cautious about the second wave. After reaching all-time high, the cases of coronavirus came down recently. Today the government of India announced the ban of flights from the United Kingdom to the country after the nation is highly infected with the new wave of coronavirus cases. The suspension will come into effect from tomorrow midnight and will continue till December 31st.
The Ministry of Civil Aviation tweeted saying "Considering the prevailing situation in the UK, Indian govt has decided that all flights originating from the UK to India shall be temporarily suspended till 11:59 pm, 31st December. This suspension to start w.e.f. 11.59 pm, 22nd December". The further decision about the suspension of the flights to the United Kingdom will be taken by the end of this year. If the wave of cases continues to be high in the UK, the Indian government would extend the ban for some more weeks.

All the passengers arriving from the United Kingdom till Tuesday will have to be tested for coronavirus on arrival. "As a measure of abundant precaution, passengers arriving from the UK in all transit flights (flights that have taken off or flights which are reaching India before 22nd Dec at 23.59 hrs) should be subject to mandatory RT-PCR test on arrival at the airports concerned," told the Ministry of Civil Aviation in a statement.
