India Reports 16,375 New Coronavirus Infections:- This would be a great news as the wave of new coronavirus cases in the country is slowly coming down. A total number of 16,375 new cases of coronavirus are reported in the country in the last 24 hours taking the total tally of cases to 1.03 crores. The active cases dropped further and are at 2.31 lakhs and the recoveries in the country reached to 99.75 lakhs in India. 201 people died in the country in the last 24 hours in the country and the total death tally is at 1,49,850. Maharashtra reported 4875 new cases yesterday and Kerala reported 3021 new cases.

The Union Health Ministry said that 38 cases of the new strain of coronavirus reported in the United Kingdom are reported in India till date and all of them are kept in single room isolation. British Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced a complete national lockdown in the UK until the mid of February. Union Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr Harsh Vardhan said the Centre initiated the plans of mass distribution of coronavirus vaccine and the drive is happening in a big way. The dry run for coronavirus vaccine is currently on in the 75 districts of Uttar Pradesh.

Telangana reported 253 new coronavirus cases and three new deaths in the state. The total number of cases are at 2,87,993. The scientists of the United Kingdom made it clear that the current coronavirus vaccine will not work on the new strain that emerged in South Africa and is high in the United Kingdom.
