Bhuma Akhila Priya Bail Plea Rejected, Granted Custody:- TDP leader and ex-minister Bhuma Akhila Priya has been facing allegations of kidnapping a hockey player Praveen Rao and his family members in Telangana recently. Bhuma Akhila Priya has been named as the prime accused and her husband Bhargav Ram is absconding. The search operation is staged for Bhargav Ram but the cops are unable to trace his whereabouts. For the second time, Bhuma Akhila Priya's bail petition got rejected by a Secunderabad court after the court verified all the medical reports of Bhuma Akhila Priya. The Hyderabad cops requested for a judicial custody for a week.

The court granted judicial custody of Bhuma Akhila Priya for three days from today. Eight others are booked on January 6th in relation with the kidnapping case in regards to a land settlement in Hafeezpet, Hyderabad. The lawyer of Bhuma Akhila Priya argued that she was pregnant and she was taken into custody for political reasons. The court heard the arguments of both the lawyers after which her bail petition was denied. Bhuma Akhila Priya was shifted to a hospital for better treatment. On the evening of January 5th, Praveen Rao, Sunil Rao and Naveen Rao are kidnapped by a bunch of goons who posed themselves as Income Tax officials. The kidnappers left the hostages at 3:30 AM at Kokapet.

There was a 25-acre land dispute in Hafeezpet after which the kidnaps took place. The land was bought by Praveen Rao in 2016 from the accused number two, AV Subba Reddy. With the land prices reaching the skies, Bhuma Akhila Priya and her husband Bhargav Ram claimed ownership. There are talks that the victims were made to sign the documents before they are released by the kidnappers.
