Telangana government to spend Rs 12,800 crores on fee reimbursement:- KT Rama Rao, the working president of Telangana and the Minister for Municipal Administration and Urban Development said that the government of Telangana has spent Rs 12,800 crores for the fee reimbursement for the students from 2014. He said that the government also cleared accumulated arrears of Rs 1800 crores. He said that the government is committed to quality education and is focused on providing employment for the youth and this is possible through quality education. 15,000 companies received industrial permits in the state under TS-iPASS and this resulted in 15 lakh new jobs for the youngsters of Telangana.
KTR addressed the graduates ahead of the MLC polls saying "Apart from Gurukul schools, the government of Telangana established educational institutes for degree, PG, polytechnic and others. No other state other than Telangana stands in the race for providing higher education abroad under the Overseas Scholarship program. More than 3850 students got these benefits from the state through this program. The government arranged study circles in all the districts of the state and Rs 250 crores are spent on this. 19,200 teacher posts are filled out of the 1.33 lakh vacancies of the state. Not a single institute was allocated for Telangana from the Centre but the state government is focused on education in Telangana".
