Amaravati Land Irregularities: Chandrababu issued notices by CID:- The Andhra Pradesh Crime Investigation Department (CID) officials served notices to Andhra Pradesh ex-Chief Minister and TDP Chief Nara Chandrababu Naidu about the irregularities in Amaravati land during the capital announcement. The CID officials approached the Hyderabad residence of Chandrababu Naidu to serve the notices. CID Chief Sunil Kumar told that the notices are served under CRPF 41. TDP leader and ex-minister Narayana too received the notices. Chandrababu Naidu and Narayana are asked to attend before CID for investigation on March 23rd. Six CID officials reached the residence of Chandrababu Naidu and there are talks that eight other TDP leaders are served notices in this Amaravati land scam case.
This move came two days after the leading YSRCP swept the civic polls in the state. TDP happened to be the major opposition party is raising hands against the government of Andhra Pradesh. Several leaders of the major opposition party faced the heat for talking against the government. TDP spokesperson B Umamaheshwara Rao dismissed the allegations of land scam in Amaravati. Before this the High Court of Andhra Pradesh on January 19th this year dismissed the allegations of inside trading in Amaravati. YSRCP after it took charge, constituted a Cabinet Sub-Committee in June 2019 to investigate about the land scams in Amravati. A detailed report was submitted to the state government in December 2020. CID officials now issued notices to Chandrababu Naidu based on the report. He will appear before the investigation on March 23rd.
