4187 new deaths reported in a single day in India:- A total number of 4,01,078 new cases for coronavirus are reported in the country in the last 24 hours and the total tally of cases reached 2,18,92,676. A record number of 4187 deaths are reported in India which is the highest single-day death tally in the country till date. The total number of deaths reported in India till date are at 2,38,270. The total number of people who got discharged from coronavirus are 1,79,30,960 and there are 37,23,446 active cases for coronavirus in the country. The total number of people who took the vaccination for coronavirus are said to be 16,73,46,544. A total number of 3,18,609 people got discharged in the country in the last 24 hours in India.
As per the reports from the Indian Council of Medical Research, the total samples tested in India in total reached 30,04,10,043 and the samples that are tested yesterday reached 18,08,344. The fatality rate in India is at 1.09 percent of the total number of cases. Tamil Nadu and Karnataka announced a complete lockdown considering the huge rise in the number of cases. Telangana reported 5559 new cases for coronavirus along with 41 new deaths and there are 71,308 active cases of coronavirus in the state. The total number of deaths reported are said to be 2666. The Union Health Ministry said that the states Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Telangana and Jharkhand reported high number of cases for coronavirus.
