3,48,421 new coronavirus cases reported in India:- The tally of coronavirus is higher in the country from the past few weeks. A total number of 3,48,421 cases for coronavirus are reported in the country in the last 24 hours taking the total tally of cases to 2,33,40,938. The total number of Indians who recovered from coronavirus reached 1,93,82,642. 4205 people passed away in the last one day in India and this is the highest death toll in a single day in India. The total number of reported deaths in the country are said to be 2,54,197. There are 37,04,099 active cases for coronavirus in the country currently. There are 3,55,338 discharges in the country in the last 24 hours and the total number of people who took up the vaccination for coronavirus reached 17,52,35,991.

The Indian variant of coronavirus is now spotted across 44 countries of the globe as per the reports from the World Health Organization (WHO). On the occasion of World's Nursing Day, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi wished saying "International Nurses Day is a day to express gratitude to the hardworking nursing staff, who is at the forefront of fighting COVID-19. Their sense of duty, compassion and commitment towards a healthy India is exemplary" through his twitter page. A strict lockdown has been imposed in Telangana and it started today from 10 AM.

Bharat Biotech's coronavirus vaccine Covaxin is recommended by the expert panel for the 2nd and 3rd phase of clinical trails for children aged between 2 and 18 years. As per the reports from the Indian Council of Medical Research, a total number of 19,83,804 samples are tested in India yesterday alone. The total samples tested for coronavirus in total are said to be 30, 75,83,991.
