Indian coronavirus daily tally drops below 2 lakh mark:- The daily tally of coronavirus cases reported in India are rock steady from the past ten days and the daily cases reported are around 2.5 lakhs. For the first time in the recent weeks, the tally came down below 2 lakh mark. A total number of 1,96,427 new cases for coronavirus are reported in India in the last 24 hours. 3,26,850 people got discharged in the last 24 hours as per the reports from the Union Health Ministry. 3511 people passed away in the last 24 hours taking the total tally of deaths reach 3,07,231. The total number of coronavirus cases reported in India till date are said to be 2,69,48,874 and a total number of 2,40,54,861 people got discharged in the last 24 hours.

There are 25,86,782 active cases for coronavirus in India and the total people who took up the vaccination dose for coronavirus reached 19,85,38,999. Mahrashtra reported 22,122 new cases along with 592 new deaths. Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh and Andhra Pradesh are the states that reported high number of cases. Tamil Nadu reported 34,867 new cases of coronavirus and Kerala reported 17,821 new cases. After several international vaccine providers denied to initiate talks with the states, they are keen to import Sputnik V vaccines and approached the Russian companies for the vaccine to beat the shortage. With thousands of black fungus cases reported in India, the Centre sent over 19,000 vials of Amphotericin- B to the states.

With huge shortage of the vaccines, the states are demanding the Centre to beat the shortage. The vaccination drive is stalled in most of the states due to the crisis. As per the reports from the Indian Council of Medical Research, the total number of samples tested for coronavirus are said to be 20,58,112 and the samples that are tested in total in India reached 33,25,94,176.
