42,640 new coronavirus cases reported in India:- A total number of 42,640 new cases of coronavirus are reported in India in the last 24 hours and the cases dropped down further. The total cases reported in total reached 2,99,77,861. With 81,839 new discharges, the total people who recovered from coronavirus reached 2,89,26,038. 1167 new deaths are registered in India and the death tally reached 3,89,302 as per the reports from the Union Health Ministry. The total number of active cases of coronavirus in India stands at 6,62,521. The total number of people who took up the vaccination dose reached 28,87,66,201.
