India reports 43,509 new Covid cases

India reports 43,509 new Covid cases:- A total number of 43,509 new cases of coronavirus are reported in India in the last 24 hours. The total number of infections reported in the country in total reached 3,15,28,114. The number of new cases has increased from the past two days across the country. 38,465 people recovered in the country in the last 24 hours and the total number of recoveries touched 3,07,01,612 in India in total. As per the reports from the Union Health Ministry, 640 deaths are reported in the country yesterday and the total number of deaths reported in total are said to be 4,22,662. There are 4,03,840 active cases of coronavirus in the country now and the recovery rate is said to be 97.38 percent. The government of Kerala announced a complete lockdown in the country over the weekend to control the new spread. Kerala and Maharashtra continued to report a high number of cases in the country.

The government of West Bengal extended the restrictions of coronavirus till August 15th with several relaxations. Kerala has an active caseload of 1.54 lakhs and they contribute to 37.1 percent of the total cases in the country. The Centre will send a six-member team to Kerala which will be headed by the National Centre for Disease Control director. 43,92,697 vaccines are administered in the country in the last 24 hours and the number of people who are fully vaccinated reached 9,81,60,986. The daily positivity rate of coronavirus is 2.52 percent and the weekly positivity rate is 2.38 percent. As per the reports from the Indian Council of Medical Research, 17,28,795 samples are tested in the country yesterday and the total samples that are tested for coronavirus in total are 46,26,29,773.
