35,499 New Coronavirus Infections Reported In India:- A total number of 35,499 new cases of coronavirus are reported in India in the last 24 hours taking the overall tally of cases to 3,19,69,954. The total number of active cases in India stands at 4,02,188 which is 1.26 percent of the total caseload. The daily positivity rate in India stands at 2.59 percent. A total number of 39,686 people recovered completely from coronavirus in the last 24 hours and the total number of recoveries reached 3,11,39,457. The Indian recovery rate is at 97.40 percent. As per the reports from the Union Health Ministry, 447 people passed away and the total death tally is at 4,28,309. The total number of Indians who took the vaccination dose for coronavirus are said to be 50,86,64,759.

The Indian government said that the testing capacity in the country is ramped up completely and 48.17 crore tests are conducted for coronavirus to date. The vaccination drive in the country is happening at a faster pace all over and there is no shortage of vaccinations in India. Kerala and Maharashtra continued to report a high number of cases on a regular basis while most of the other states are under control. On average, more than 50 lakh people are taking up the vaccination dose on a regular basis this month. As per the reports from the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), the total samples that are tested on August 8th are 13,71,871 and the samples that are tested in India in total are 48,17,67,232.
