Huge Dip in the Country's New Coronavirus Tally:- A total number of 25,072 new cases of coronavirus are reported in the country and there is a huge dip in the new coronavirus cases when compared to the recent daily tally. As per the reports from the Union Health Ministry, the total number of reported cases of coronavirus in India reached 3,24,49,306 and the total number of recoveries climbed to 3,16,80,626. 44, 157 people recovered from coronavirus in the last 24 hours and there are 3,33,924 active cases of coronavirus in India now. 389 new deaths are reported in India and the total death tally reached 4,34,756. The total number of vaccine doses in India are said to be 58,25,49,595 and among them, 7,95,543 doses are adminstered in the last 24 hours.
No new coronavirus cases are reported in Andaman and Nicobar islands. New Zealand extends lockdown and it may extend it for a longer time. As per the reports from the Indian Council of Medical Research, the total samples that are tested in India on August 22nd are said to be 12,95,160 and the samples that are tested in total in India reached 50,75,51,399. Andhra Pradesh reported 1085 new cases last evening and the active cases came down below the mark of 15,000. But the state continued night curfews without other restrictions. More than 1.60 lakh new cases of coronavirus are reported on a daily basis in USA and there are a large number of deaths reported. The hospitals are full all over. This is a clear indication that the nation is hit by the third wave of coronavirus.
