YS Jagan Seeks Rs 1000 Cr Flood Relief Fund From Centre:- Several districts of Andhra Pradesh have been shattered recently due to the untimely rains and hundreds of villages are flooded. Thousands of houses across Chittoor, Nellore and Kadapa districts are badly damaged. Andhra Pradesh Chief YS Jaganmohan Reddy has been criticized for not swiftly responding to the disaster. YS Jagan urged the Centre to sanction an interim relief fund of Rs 1000 crores and deploy a Central team that can assess the total damages that took place due to the rains and floods in Andhra Pradesh. YS Jagan penned letters to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah for the grants.

YS Jagan requested an immediate relief fund for the state so that they can serve the impacted families in the state. He said that the funds can be used to restore the normalcy and undertake the repair, restoration works. YS Jagan wanted the Centre to send a team at the earliest to assess the damage and the losses that is caused in Andhra Pradesh due to heavy rains. YS Jagan said that the damage that occurred in the state due to the damage and loss of crops and infrastructure is Rs 6054.29 crores. Tirumala, Tirupati, Nellore, Rajampet, Madanapalli and others are the most impacted towns due to rains in Andhra Pradesh. 17 NDRF/SDRF teams along with two helicopters carried the rescue operations.
