Indian Coronavirus daily tally inches 3.5 lakhs:- The daily tally of coronavirus cases in the country inched 3.5 lakh mark and a total number of 3,47,254 new cases are reported in the last 24 hours. The new cases are 29,722 more than yesterday. A total number of 2,51,777 people recovered from coronavirus in the last 24 hours and there are 20,18,825 active cases in the country. The daily positivity rate climbed further and it stands at 17.94 percent. The deaths reported too climbed up in the last 24 hours and 703 new deaths are registered in the country. The total number of Omicron cases reported in the country are said to be 9692 and they are 4.36 percent more than yesterday. 309 people passed away in Kerala alone.
The government of New Delhi is all set to lift the weekend lockdown in the state after the positivity rate dropped down badly in the state when compared to last week. There are close to 2 lakh active cases of coronavirus in Kerala and the state is all set to impose new norms in the state. The positivity rate is over 40 percent which is the highest in the country. As per the reports from the Union Health Ministry, 515 districts of the country have reported more than 5 percent positivity rate in the past one week. The total doses of vaccination for coronavirus administered in the country till date are said to be 160,43,70,484. Close to 70 lakh vaccines were given yesterday in the country. There are 5.23 percent active cases in India and the recovery rate stands at 93.50 percent.
