Indian daily Covid tally dips below 1 lakh mark:- After reporting a high number of cases for several weeks, India reported a low number of cases which is less than 1 lakh mark in the last 24 hours. 83,876 new cases are reported in the country in the last 24 hours. The recoveries too are quite higher and 1,99,054 people recovered yesterday. 895 people passed away in the last 24 hours and there are 11,08,938 active cases in the country. The total number of reported deaths in total till date are said to be 5,02,874. The daily positivity rate is 7.25 percent and the total number of vaccination doses administered in India are said to be 1,69,63,80,755. The total Covid-19 cases reported in India are said to be 4,22,72,014 and the total number of recoveries in India are 4,06,60,202.

USA continues to be the top contributor for coronavirus and the total reported cases are 76,505,442. India, Brazil, France and UK are next in the list. The positivity rate dropped down to 7.25 percent and the daily tally dipped down below 1 lakh after January 6th. The active cases comprise to 2.62 percent of the total cases and the recovery rate kept improving and it stands at 96.19 percent. The Drugs Controller General of India also granted emergency approval to single-show Sputnik Light vaccine and this happens to be the ninth vaccine for coronavirus that is approved in the country. Mumbai city reported 536 new cases and three deaths yesterday.
