Chandrababu Naidu Denies Allegations On Pegasus Spyware:- West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee made strong allegations on TDP Chief and ex-Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Nara Chandrababu Naidu that he bought Pegasus spyware to keep a tap on the calls. The TDP Chief responded saying that they have never purchased any spyware. "By now it must have become very clear that my government turned down the offer made by the Pegasus" told the statement of Chandrababu Naidu. He showed the copies of a Kurnool resident who filed an application filed under the Right to Information (RTI) Act. Chandrababu told that it is clear that the YSR Congress party is keen to present him and TDP in badlight through this campaign.
Koneru Nagendra Prasad, a resident of Yemmiganur in Kurnool district has filed an application with RTI on 25th July, 2021 to find out if the government bought Pegasus spyware. The authorities replied that there was no software that was procured by the government of Andhra Pradesh. Lokesh responded saying "We have never purchased any spyware. We never indulged in any illegal phone tapping. I don't know whether she has indeed said that, and where and in which context. If she did say that, she is certainly misinformed".

On Wednesday, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said that she was offered Pegasus spyware but her government rejected the proposal considering the privacy of the people. She claimed that Nara Chandrababu Naidu had this spyware during his regime. This news created a sensation all over. TDP leaders shared the proofs of RTI that AP government never purchased any Pegasus spyware. They also alleged that TDP would have prevented the murder of YS Vivekananda Reddy if they had such spyware.
