Mekapati Goutham Reddy's Wife to contest in Bypolls:- Andhra Pradesh Minister and non-controversial leader Mekapati Goutham Reddy breathed his last recently after he suffered a massive heart attack. The entire state was left in deep shock and is shattered by his demise. The bypoll of Atmakur will take place soon and there are a lot of debates going on about the contestant. It is heard that AP Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy was keen to stage Mekapati Goutham Reddy's wife Sree Keerthi and there are reports that the family of Mekapati decided to stay away from the bypoll. The latest update says that YS Jagan convinced Mekapati Rajamohan Reddy, the father of Mekapati Goutham Reddy.

Mekapati Sree Keerthi will contest in the bypoll and there are also talks that her name will be placed in the state's cabinet that will be expanded on April 11th. This makes it clear that Sree Keerthi cleared paths and agreed to carry the legacy of the family of the Mekapatis. Though there are talks that Mekapati Goutham Reddy's sons may make it to politics, they are quite younger and are yet to complete their education. The notification about the Atmakur bypoll is expected to be made soon. There are also talks that the other opposition parties of the state will stay away from the bypoll and will make the election unanimous.
