Maharashtra Cabinet Expansion to take place Tomorrow:- After Shiv Sena was dethroned from the government of Maharashtra, Rebel leader Eknath Shinde took the oath as the new Chief Minister of the state. The cabinet expansion of the new government is scheduled to take place tomorrow. Some of the BJP MLAs will take the oath as the ministers. Chandrakant Patil, Sudhir Mungantiwar, R Vikhe Patil, Girish Mahajan and Suresh Khade are the MLAs from BJP who will join the cabinet of Eknath Shinde. Uday Samant, Gulabrao Patil and Sandipan Bhumare are the MLAs from the camp of Eknath Shinde. Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis told the media that the cabinet expansion will take place very soon.
The new cabinet has been functioning with two ministers from June 30th and Eknath Shinde has been in talks with the leaders of BJP and his MLAs to finalize the ministries. Eknath Shinde and Devendra Fadnavis are in New Delhi over the weekend to finalize the list. Eknath Shinde also attended the NITI Aayog meeting of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. A total number of 22 Chief Ministers attended the meeting. Fadnavis also met the Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman recently. He said that BJP is on a mission to improve the party's footprint in the state and they are working with the target of 2024 Lok Sabha elections. They have identified 16 Parliamentary constituencies.
